Intro

Core values of my practice: Compassion, integrity, strength and solution-based approach.

I began my career in not-for-profit and financial sectors and made a mid-career shift in order to pursue my passion in psychotherapy. I received an undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, an MA from Johns Hopkins University, followed by an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. I received clinical training at Mt. Sinai Health Systems and then joined Inter-Care, an outpatient substance use agency, where I led an Intensive Outpatient and continuing care program and served as a Clinical Supervisor/Director of Training and Clinical Development.

In addition to continued group work at Inter-Care, I am an Adjunct Lecturer at Hunter College. I utilize evidenced based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral therapy in individual, group and family modalities.

My work is highly interactive and driven by a client-centered, solution and strength based approach. With compassion and dedication, I connect with my clients to collaboratively confront challenges and achieve goals in order to reach one's full potential.
